Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma

Cancer CreamCutaneous T-Cell Lymphomas (CTCLs) are malignancies that involve the skin. The most common forms of CTCLs are mycosis fungoides and and Sézary syndrome. The skin lesions associated with the disease differ among patients and can have the appearance of patches, plaques or tumors. Skin-directed treatment strategies include the use of topical chemotherapy.

Compounding options:

Topical carmustine cream and topical mechlorethamine cream.
We compound topical carmustine cream and topical mechlorethamine cream at any desired concentration. Carmustine is a mustard gas-related nitrosourea compound. Mechlorethamine is a nitrogen mustard. Importantly, we use bulk powders to make these creams. Therefore, our creams do not contain any unwanted substances that may irritate the skin and give the cream a gritty texture.

Cutaneous Leishmaniasis

Compounding options:

Topical paromomycin/gentamicin cream.
We compound topical paromomycin/gentamicin cream. The cream is hydrophilic enough to take up the antibiotics and hydrophobic enough to ensure skin penetration. Importantly, we use bulk powders to make our cream. Therefore, our creams do not contain any unwanted substances that may irritate the skin and give the cream a gritty texture.

Acyclovir-Resistant Herpes Infections

In some cases, however, the infection is caused by an acyclovir-resistant form of the Herpes virus. This is sometimes observed in immunocompromised patients.

Compounding option:

Topical cidofovir cream.
We compound topical cidofovir cream at any desired concentration. Importantly, we use bulk powders to make our cream. Therefore, our creams do not contain any unwanted substances that may irritate the skin and give the cream a gritty texture.

Chronic Pruritus

A number of novel, innovative therapeutic options have recently been reported in the clinical literature.

Compounding options:

Topical creams with pimecrolimus, tacrolimus, naltrexone, gabapentin, pregabalin, or calcipotriol.
